Stow to be sold?

Is there anything behind the rumor that the Stow property is slated for sale?

"The previous manager... ". I don't know who made the final decision. Sean was one of it.
He said he would like to have an office in Boston Landing and led a tour of it before it is finished.
Several months later, Sean was out of the door, so was another VP. There was lots of push back moving to BL, but the company did it anyway. Now MBTA will reduce the trains and bus, making city offices less appealing, even for people living in or near Boston, waste of money.

I think Bose wasted too much money on a long term lease for Boston Landing. Even before covid 19 so many people worked from home, the office was pretty empty. The previous manager who pushed for it probably could not admit it was a mistake, but now there is a new president, she should consider reducing the number of floors rented and renegotiate the long term contract.

Bose wanted to sell Stow for years. I think it needed lots of work such as fixing plumbing and electrical systems. It is not a good location, a few miles from 495 on a small 2 lane road. It is not near shopping, or downtown. With so many companies shrinking there are lots of vacant buildings competing with Stow. I think it will be very hard to sell or lease.

"Bose does not really own the property in Stow, it is leased. "

Absolutely wrong. According the Assessor's Office of the Town of Stow, the owner of the property is Bose Corporation.

@xlg+17ocpfw8 is wrong. Bose does own Stow. It's not leased. Look up the deed. Purchased from HP in 2003.

Bose does not really own the property in Stow, it is leased. After selling the Bose Ride, the company planned to move Auto into the park place because there is a lots of space there. It was planned a few ago even though the company still did some renovation in Stow so it does not violate the building code.

Yeah they’re moving Stow employees to FMH within the next few years but that’s not new news.

I don't know if it's being sold but the eventual closing of the facility has been confirmed a while back.
