So, how will the next round of layoffs be conducted? Will there be territory realignments and consolidation for sales? Will there be an increase with Inside Sales to compensate for small territories losing their Generalists? What will become of marketing, programming, content? Which groups will be 'spun off' first? Will there be opportunities during this latest reorg, and where?

Layoffs will be announced soon per usual this time of year, won’t be pretty either...
Rumor has it that there will be layoffs soon, only barely staved off by that lush 20% pay cut
Are layoffs actually happening? I am so buried with work that I haven't had a moment to see if anybody else is still around. Did I get laid off and not read the email?
@1uks+151HVmyT Typically its manager gets promoted to director or director gets promoted to sr director or VP and becomes the new flavor of the month. After a year or so their faction falls out of favor and the cycles starts over.
"Do the work?" Those who did work were let go. Those who remain realize it is pointless. Hundreds of hours and thousands of dollars poured into a laughable "credo" with no basis in reality? Check! Viable business plan? Not so much.
@wlj+151HVmyT, in some cases. Managers gets promoted to Directors, then several month later, their position disappear, the Director becomes Managers again. It's a sh– show.
Here we go again. Unbelievable
Seriously though. How many people can they actually cut? Someone eventually has to do the work.
@wlj+151HVmyT Agreed, promotion through attrition makes for an ugly place to work...
The next layoff pandemic is upon us.
There's opportunity in every reorg for middle management schemers intent on hacking their way to the top. That's how most executives are promoted at Cengage. Its certainly not based on competence or leadership ability.
