I once tried to count the VP's, think i found about 25 in Finance, 18 in HR and lost count at 300 in sales, it truly is mind blowing

Underpinning this "recession" are trillions in debt and the need to crush the dollar. I believe John Lennon called this out as a desired end state. To dilute the place you call home, give the keys to the IMF, even the playing field such that we all live in 3rd world countries let by global elites. Be careful what you wish for... You can see a lot of conflict brewing as the cards are reshuffled

It is amazing that people are still denying that the country is in both a recession

Can you tell me, good sir, what is a recession?

It is amazing that people are still denying that the country is in both a recession and heading towards a probable collapse. But then again it's the "California thinking" that has destroyed both VMware and nearly the United States.

Recession coming, everyone should roll up the sleeves and get to the real work.

No, a recession is not coming in the near future. Businesses and media are pushing hard for it to happen so they can lay people off, show better numbers 1 quarter out, and then get a giant bonus.

Why would a company paying so much more on inflated salary and titles to
have so many senior executives and senior managers managing little
managers and technical employees?

Corruption & incompetence.
Like promotes like, so they get into the management old boy's club. Then they leverage their new title at a new company. Rinse. Repeat, until all companies are destroyed by jingoism.

They probably walk without much of a fight once they see the 7 figure severance offer.

Management structure is a joke, I'm a snr manager and have 8 levels between me and the top - wtf do they do?

What makes better sense is to flatten the management level. Google and Facebook are doing it.

Number of VPs is mind blowing.

| They have? Was that on the all hands today?

What I saw from mails and videos is they are advocating going back for plan meeting etc, but didn't mandate it. Not sure where it is going.

Why would a company paying so much more on inflated salary and titles to have so many senior executives and senior managers managing little managers and technical employees? I bet getting people in is one of the way to show VPs and the rest of the management have some works to do. The fact is, since pandemic, VMware have gone almost fully remote and revenue is better from year to year. Perhaps, management are feeling their values dropped. So, it is time to find something to do to justify the existence. E.g sending out many useless meetings and bogus projects. Managers should have some knowledge in software development and or have been in technical roles to be effective in managing technical teams otherwise, they are just going to get in the way. Recession coming, everyone should roll up the sleeves and get to the real work. Meta calls it "Year of Efficiency"

For nsbu, its only under 1 vp out of several VPs. Not sure what is special about this VP. Although vmware has not mandated anything.
