@pd If everyone blows it off it’s not a mandate.
There’s plenty of remote work out there if you know where and how to look. You’ll probably be making less than $200k though. I left my previous job because of the five-day RTO and landed a fully-remote job, but I’m only making $175k/year base pay. Not ideal, but I can live on it.

If you have a corporate cell phone, even your driving habits offsite can be tracked. IT can also determine if you are logging in on a campus IP address or an external offsite IP address.

They are running reports now track people who are coming in and leaving quickly after arriving. They do this through syncing badge swipes, camera images and login data. Godspeed to all the coffee badgers.

Campus will be sold after a 50% reduction in Houston office employees. OR, an alternate future is we acquire someone like EOG or COP and move their people form Dallas or West Houston to Campus. In the meantime low skilled personnel will be replaced by Indian workers at BTC (who will eventually be replaced by AI). Remember call centers moving to India a few years ago.. Soon an AI driven computer will replace all the Indian call center workers and be able to talk in any language and any accent and have access to everything in the company's data base. Only to few humans needed for the truly bizarre questions or problems.
Campus will be sold within the next five years to lower overhead. No need for an expensive campus when everyone is in India.

Empty buildings, expensive lunch, cramped dirty cubicles, cheap TP… what else you need to know? Once they removed the ATM next to Zulee’s you know it was all over.
