This is stupid. VMware trims staff only in January. And without wall st. reporting, even that was minimal. Nothing before BCom. Stop freaking out.
I hope they cut the PEs who cannot program.

Small cuts I think VMware can do if they so choose.
Big cuts (like ki-ling a whole BU) would need Broadcom to greenlight as that would be a material change of the asset that they are buying and VMware is supposed to preserve itself.
All bets are off if the acquisition closes as then Braodcom can do whatever it wants.
