Bisignano Social Security Administration Commissioner Nomination

We don't need people like Bisignano running programs like social security which too many of our loved ones and fellow citizens rely on.

What can we do to derail his nomination?

Do we share our complaints with the Dems and the media? People like him shouldn't be rewarded with elevated position.

I'm 100% with post before this one. Frank did not streamline and optimize, he slashed and burned until he heard the infrastructure creaking, moaning, and starting to snap. He's playing from the oldest VC playbooks around. It's boringly predictable, while being horrific to watch how it destroys so many lives.

In the post the previous references, the person says govt jobs shouldn't be a life of luxury. Does that mean you believe they shouldn't be able to support themselves on their income? The only people I see getting luxurious fancy cars and multiple houses aren't the low level beurocrats. It's the scheming congress people, senators, heads of departments, the prez, scotus, etc. Those low level people are living a middle class life as they should be for the job they do.

To whomever posted "respectful disagreement " you yourself stated the problem.. he made moves to benefit himself. Sold stocks to lower the price then bought them back. Demands to rto with insane rules, and layoffs only stroke his ego. With a move to SSA. Will only give another outlet. Even if congress is the entity that approves changes SSN is up for grabs with republicans in control of all 3 branches especially with them already owing money and constantly referred to as entitlement.
He can do worse and will given the opportunity.

I dont think it'll be easy-peasy-simple as @wb+1jhek0r6z makes it seem, but I suspect tjey may not be too far off. For evidence, look at all of the red tape we're facing from current banking audits. Frank and his cronies obviously don't understand government too well. I'm sure he'll cause some trouble at the SSA, it's his nature, but I think he'll be far more restrained by beaurocracy and worker protections the government has than he currently realizes. They have unions and contracts that protect them from a lot more than we are protected from that frank causes... but then basically zero protection here leaves them nowhere to go but up.

The biggest concerns I have are him trying to manage the fund and breaking rules that cause issues, or him trying to "modernize" their IT and making as big of a mess there as he's caused here. I can only hope there are some guardrails to protect both of them. At a minimum I hope there is at least congressional oversight of anything major he might try.

folks FB is doing this for tax purposes to wash his OFD and Fiserv dollars. Follow the money its that simple. At SSA he's going to run into the union agreements, red tape. Congress sets benefits.

Be happy he's leaving our company, it means the end game is afoot.

Write to the Senators, both parties, on the subcommittee that will be confirming Franco. I would raise the issues of him strangling employees retirement plans, eliminating 1000s of U.S. jobs and outsourcing them to India, and paying he and his small band of cronies exorbitant amounts. The massive secret layoffs and jobs offshoring are key to hone in on. I would leave the remote work stuff out as it’s not relevant. He is unfit to administer any employee benefit program, and is already crowing about ‘transforming’ social security, which means he is looking to hurt people who can’t adequately fight back, and enrich himself.

@cn+1jhek0r6z

I think not. While being a chairman of a public company and being eg a congressman isn’t illegal, it would be perceived as a big old conflict of interest.

Not to mention having a guy entwined with such a divisive president as 45-47 would be a serious image problem for Fiserv.

He will be quitting both roles IMO.

SS benefits will henceforward be issued monthly on prepaid cards valid only on Clover terminals. Synergies!

No way he doesn't get approved. He donated a lot to get that nomination. And he's gonna gut the he-l out of social security. God help all who rely on those benefits. That man is heartless, like every other billionaire/millionaire the first Felon of the United States nominated. He fits right in.

I was glad to get laid off and be away from Frank! Now that's he's going to be in charge of the SSA, I feel like he's back - still with some level of control and haunting me.

He can still be Chairman of the Board so next CEO is just a puppet anyway.

This nomination is a blessing for fiserv. We need better CEO.

So I'm going to respectfully disagree with this post. I may disagree with his management style and how he treats us, but he has made some savvy moves for himself to get where he is. Why wouldn't we want FB not to be in charge of SS? If we have any hope of receiving any benefit in the future, you actually need him to do this job. We actually need someone who is a little bit of ... (insert whatever word you want here) in that role. He can't do any worse than his predecessors.
We all know his playbook, which is the cut overhead and streamline processes. Is that such a bad thing for our government administration? I mean we all deal with that bureaucracy on a daily basis? Government work isn't supposed to be a life of luxury.

If anything, you need to be more concerned with who/what comes next for us.

We need him to go from Fiserv but not ruining everyone else's lives working for the SSA.

The time to stop this was on November 5th. Elections have consequences. A new CEO for Fiserv is one of those consequences.

The other nominees have so much worse and damaging stories and many of them will be confirmed anyway. By comparison, Frank will appear to be a rational choice for that position.
