Thread regarding Dell Inc. layoffs

Our upper mgmt is terrible

The things our upper mgmt is worried about is foolish and they just make really poor decisions. Rolling things out like “Modern Dell” which is all about standardization but most of them at the upper mgmt level really don’t understand the implications of what that means. Worrying about what tools are the right ones, using scrum at scale as a reason to broaden span and reduce people and calling hiring remote people a “mistake”. With the only strategic move being creating relationships with a guy who wears the same leather jacket everyday.

Having tons of “offsites” in fact I’ve never seen so much money blown on a set of leaders just flying around the world and taking advantage of their shareholders money. It’s irresponsible.

Meanwhile in the real world, we are losing share in our markets, have had no significant investments, are getting sued left and right, have been incredibly fiscally irresponsible, have no other way to show profit then to cut people and call hiring remote people a “mistake”

The only mistake here is to continue to let these clowns run the show. This is the very worst version Dell ever could be and it’s 100% due to its upper mgmt.

We need a big change at the top. What we have isn’t working. It’s chaos.

@vzt+1vglzzOF : SM is not going down .. Their Biz model still makes profit. They have faced this once before and have recovered . They will do the same after paying the fine. Wait and watch.

CVS just replaced their clown at the job because the company was going in the wrong direction. They had to bring in a retired leader to straighten the ship. Why can't we do the same.

Wonder how long before DOJ asks how is it all that Magic AI H100 revenue went into a company no one ever heard of to the tune of 300+ M USD.
Someone in that APAC management chain is going to jail; maybe they're laying people off to pay the fines. Sackler your way out of jail.

Too many buddy buddy hires. Incompetence and low IQ reign supreme at the highest level. It's not dei.

Echo'ing @ryd+1vglzzOF, isn't SM one of the only competitors we have? If they're going down the sh----r, we can burn money as long as we don't sink fully.

No kidding. MD has been stale for over a decade.
I've been watching some interviews with him and AI and it is clear he's way over his head.
It's watching grifter who is aware everyone knows he's grifting.

Change from the top down.

Too many people in sales leadership roles who NEVER engage with customers and/or have zero sales experience.

It’s about time these oxygen thieves go in the trash where they belong…
