Laid Off - Monday Bloodbath

Unexpected 15 min zoom meeting scheduled by Manager but I had a feeling it was time.

Manager read the script, gave apologies and mentioned I was extremely valuable to the team. Whatever, I didn't want to hear this cr-p. Mentioned I should continue work BAU until April 14. I said I don't feel comfortable working on ongoing projects when I just got laid off. Responded with do what whatever I'm comfortable with. I just said okay and hung up.

HR reached out couple hrs after providing "helpful" support PDFs while they finalize the package.

I wasn't the only one that got axed today, another member of the vertical also got the news. Good luck everyone and hope for the best on your next journey.

If your access was removed because you have access to sensitive data, you’ll be paid out for the two weeks anyway.

Just got let go from Grace Lake in Van Buren township. All of mortgage DTC sales is gone and most of our floor. Rumor is they will be closing Grace Lake. The floor is now empty and people cleaned out their desks and left. Good luck to everyone who still has a job.

My last day will be April 12. At least now I know and can move forward. The last 6 months have been excrutiating. They did tell me there may be delays in getting information from HR due to the sheer number of JDs they have to handle all at once, but also encouraged me to step away for as long as I need to process the news. My manager looked like she was crying on the Zoom screen. Sad day.

Same thing happened to me today. Thank you for you work. continue to work until April 14.
Due to your sensitive role we stop all access to Citi network in few minutes.
