Lost access to VMWare and VMWare benefits site for impacted employees?

Wow, this is messed up.

I received documentation that my role was eliminated by the acquisition but I was still on VMWare payroll and benefits through Jan 26, 2024. As part of the documentation, it stated that access to VMware sites and benefits would be kept as part of being "reasonably available".

Got it, I was checking email periodically.

As I tried to log in today and access the benefit site, my computer and accounts were not working. After calling VMWare IT support, I was told my accounts are all disabled since I am being flagged as being terminated.

My experience does not match all the documentation provided.

What is going on here? Is anyone else experiencing the same thing?

To the cut-us-some-slack comment......the merger was delayed several times.....really?? Testing couldn't be completed?? Would have thought that BC had a fully tested plan in place especially since VMware is not the first acquisition.

Cut us some slack. We got a lot of additional work assigned to us in addition to our regular workload and there are only so many hours in the day. Some acquisition testing was cut short to meet deadlines and resulted in some unexpected outcomes in production. Work relating to employees getting terminated is not our highest priority project.

The same happened to me and another person that I know. First you can't authenticate and then soon you will be locked out of your computer and then your email account will be deleted and people will get a address not found error instead of an out of office message. It's amateur hour at Broadcom.
