@1ee7 It's happening in Global, EMEA and APAC nobody is spared. But frankly certain roles can be eliminated and I do hope they really remove the right ones. Not those essential.
@1edk Where are you located ?
Around 20+ positions eliminated this month in U.S. in multiple locations. More to come in next few months. JLL is having financial troubles.
No one is safe H1B, L1, GC
Yes, offshore roles are better with JLL basically from India rather US, cost saving mode will help organization.
Many people are axed but situation is like that and will not get better for next 24 months as per internal sources, layoffs will continue specially in U.S., UK areas. Many people are less productive they need to cut down to save the company
Got news of laid off today, last day is in December with 8 weeks of notice.
JLL is eliminating many mid levels positions to save the cost.
There is a hostile cross-collabration underway between WD and PAM,with WD aggressively attemping to sized business understanding from them. From what our understanding in term of strategy, it crucial that PAM team remains firm and resilient in facing this exercise. Do not be swayed by fearmongers suggesting that PAM will be remove. This is unfound.
In reality, if changes occur, its more likely half of WD's staff will be affected. PAM's position should remain secure especially as this is merely beginning.
JLL has really ruined Oracle. Employees have zero formal training.. JLL cuts cost on every little thing.
The UK business is also affected. There have been many layoffs since January, with almost every department impacted (mine quite severely). Every month, we see a few colleagues leaving. I no longer look forward to company updates or town halls, where they introduce their new 'strategies' and announce more “changes.” JLL is a very unstable company at the moment, with management trying to find savings in every single process. It seems like they’re in serious financial trouble...
@vpb
Hear some global visiting Singapore
Guess it’s coming
@tj9 The core team involves WD leading this cut has been determined probably we will see the name list from Work Dynamics Soon.
JLL to retrench and dissolve SEA ops across all functions.
Cuts mapped, announcements coming soon.
Entire teams may be axed.
Next: “Work Dynamics SEA” phase.
Everyone’s guessing who’s next.
Work Dynamic (SG) has a mixed of 5 layoff or relocation as of last month, where I am one of them :(
And also heard numbers of PAM old timer wasn't being recontracted, some was forced to resign with promised packages.
Anyone from WD know who else has been layoff on the ground ?
APAC update from the ground gathering below are some of the departments that have layoffs since last week
- Marketing (2 pax)
- Finance (out of 4 ; managed to redeploy 3)
- 2 regional roles from HR and legal to be relocated
- 2 junior HR; 1 senior HR
For seeing huge casualty in next 2 quarter from PAM. As of current global is still struggling to find strategy to reorganisation.
JLLT had some lay offs this week, with another restructuring.
Ein riesen Durcheinander
Based on global sentiments, upcoming regional roles removal will be across the global esp EMEA , APAC both regions will see a merge in roles with some layoff for better cost saving
What's the magnitude of the layoffs at JLL Canada? Any figures announced?
It has been confirmed restructuring to remove all regional roles start in End Nov, by DEC 2024 to confirm namelist for Jan 2025 layoff.
Confirm department for corporate function, PAM as well Work Dynamics Corporate Function.
With the reorganization/restructuring within Work Dynamics that will be effective January 1, 2025, I anticipate another round of layoffs by mid Q1...
