Thread regarding Teradata Corp. layoffs

How Many Employees Are Left at TDC?

Does anyone have the number by year? If you graph employees, revenue, and customers you will see all three of these critical metrics are shrinking while the company is in one of the highest growth sectors (data and analytics) of the industry. This will make a good case study on how poor management can sink a company. The board has enabled this and should get most of the blame. You are only as good as the senior executives you hire. Two rookie CEOs in a row, and the CEO before them was a retired grocery guy who just went around telling stories. By only hiring from the outside, they forced all the smart ones to leave. Now they are left primarily with employees who can't get a job anywhere else.

Rude to assume bad hires from these companies. It the money— TD throws at you which makes people come in the first place and quickly realize its a dumpster fire. You are really blind.

No employee in their right mind would leave AWS for Teradata. You probably mean some who were RIFed at AWS last year.

Please. Look at the IBM, Oracle, and Microsoft cast-offs we have; they couldn't make it at those companies, so they had to drop down a few divisions to the junior league, TDC.

If you use the same calculation we use to calculate new logos and growth we have 15,000 employees. If you use real data we are now at 6,000.

If they’re coming from AWS, Google, Microsoft and other tech companies, they aren’t good talent.

@vno+1rT681Rc probably, close to zero. It's shocking that some (even in more senior management levels) still take jobs at Teradata

How many employees are left that actually like their job and feel confident the company will survive?
