No proof, no insights, just a feeling this reorg might end the Michael Dell era.
Not because people will move him out or are not happy with him, but just because he is done with the company. Realised his dreams and want to start a next chapter.
He once said he did regret he had given the company his family name, esp. when it went south with Kevin Rollins and feld he had an obligation to step back in again.
So maybe he is now cleaning up the house, making it ready for the next big thing. Could be an aqusition/merger where 'overhead' has been removed, so the other party can pay a fair (higher) price for the core. Good exit strategy to get his name of the building....
That strange move with Chuck W. as co-COO feels like 'plan A' didn't work out as planned, and we are whitnissing plan B'. CMO, CFO and CTO saw the plan and steps out early.
I'm probably wrong, but can't get my head around certain things that happend over te last year(s). This includes the sell of VMware, a company that could have turned Dell into a true (cloud) solution provider. Michael publicly stated in the past that the future of Dell would reside in Software/Solutions. Broadcom is now ki-ling it, but Michael cashed in at least 2 times on VMware (IPO and selling it as majority shareholder).
And looking at the SEC fillings, Silverlake is quickly decreasing it's share in Dell.
Yeah, I know what you think, but it is a guts feeling I have after working for the company for 29 years in 3 months (if I make it)
