Thread regarding Allstate Corp. layoffs

I can’t wait to be laid off

After a lot of anxiety about what and how I will do if I get laid off, now I really don’t care. And not only that. I think that would be the best possible scenario for me in regards to finding a new job: layoff, severance and then finally some other company that certainly can’t be a failure like Allstate. I’m not willing to quit because I don’t want to make it easier for them.

Now I see that other companies have smelled blood and that they will take everything that is good from this company, including everyone competent at their work. There is life even after Allstate.

If you don't want to quit and make zero efforts to improve a situation that makes you unhappy that's on you.

Hopefully they offer severance with the next round. They do about 80% of the time but there have been a few instances of large layoffs, I know of two specifically where they didn't, where no severance was offered. With my luck this would be one of those rare times. I am still bitter that I was not laid off last year.

Yup, after this recent “all hands” I feel exactly the same as I did April of last year. No one is safe, ever. I’m just going to half a– my job as long as possible until they lay me off. It’s so apparent no one cares anymore and I’m not putting in effort at a company that puts nothing into me. It’s o my going to get worse, this place is failing on so many levels
