Anyone have any ideas as to the perceived value of the kenmore brand? I can't believe it is worth much anymore. When I left, LG had just taken over manufacturing the refrigerators....I can't imagine anyone would roll the dice on payment of manufacturing a private brand for such a failing company.

$250-300 million is what it will sell for. To Lowe’s. Lowe’s needs something like this due to their own issues and Eddie knows so he wants top $.
Just like Craftsman, Kenmore no longer has a valued name from quality built merchandise. No one will want it, maybe other than to diversify their own brand, but I highly doubt that's going to happen. Sweet, sweet Eddie is going to be the one holding the bag for it when the whole thing tanks here pretty soon.
We can only seem to get Kenmore refrigeration made by Daewoo and too load laundry made by Whirlpool and the later I expect to vanish at any moment. So to answer your question...about $tree fiddy.
I know a fear years ago, Lowe's was in talks to buy it. Negotiations broke do because Eddie and SHC demanded royalties on every unit sold (similar to the Craftsman deal with Stanley Blafk and Decker) and refused to budge.

Eddie or the Vendors, have shut most Branded product out of HTS and FLS, Kenmore however is available. So, Eddie is using that ploy to increase the Kenmore sales, makes Kenmore look good and he sells it for an inflated price! We are all pawns in his evil game.Eddie screwed the Vendors on purpose, to inflate Kenmore sales!
The Kenmore brand is and has been for sale for some time. The issue is that Eddie considers it his most valuable asset and wants a fortune for it. Negotiations with Lowes were on the table some months back but an agreement hadn’t been reached.

Kenmore is not for sale, we've been doing great financial wise. I don't understand why all you people think Sears is failing so bad. There doing better now than ever. People are lining up to get the good deals at Sears. All of you are mistaken. All will turn around real soon, you'll see
