More layoffs

I've heard of more layoffs happening sometime soon. Does anybody know more about it?

Apparently there are going to be more layoffs on Nov 27/28. This time TR has lost it. Look at them boasting about WL launch and other BS on Linkedin and other social media platforms. Thanking teams on successful launches and stabbing the same team members in the back. TR is a sinking ship, the sooner one gets out, the better it is!

I wouldn't be surprised. Steve Hasker was very vague on it when asked about layoffs. I heard it is coming though. This is their favorite time of year to get the budget down before end of year. I can't think of a year there was no layoff. Happy Thanksgiving everyone!!!!

No they aren't. Poland and Mexico are the new "low cost centers" that they are moving jobs to as fast as they can.

Most likely, November 14 & 15 would be the announcement days for folks based on historical data. Such a pathetic company, and then they boast about 'Care' and 'Employee growth' externally, thinking people will buy this cr-p anymore. The problem is at the leadership level, and they keep removing hard-working folks who are just trying to earn a living. Shame on you TR!

The most dreaded time of the year, just before US Thanksgiving, they make these announcements. And with how TR is truly performing with its Sales teams not meeting the quota, renewals not looking the best in shape, deteriorating software quality and declining customer NPS, another wave seems imminent.

They have just got rid of at least twenty people in some UK departments so I think HR will be busy. Always just before Xmas thanks darling Reuters

When I reviewed the employee reviews of Thomson Reuters on Glassdoor, there were a lot that talked about them doing regular moderate-scale layoffs. Seems there is some truth to this Remember, save off all your work on a regular basis so you can use it in a job search if needed. Good luck!

Big companies like to lose some headcount before big moves. I know in design we aren’t supposed to backfill any open roles with people in the US. Last time I worked for a company with that policy I was let go a month before the move. They canned the entire US design team in favor of cheaper labor elsewhere. Their big product we were working on never launched due to delays so they got theirs.

Don't know details, but suspect that Hasker is trying to cut down costs as much as possible before he ultimately checks out.
