Thread regarding Fiserv Inc. layoffs

We are reaching a breaking point

The stock won’t recover through layoffs. Maybe there’s a short-term bump, but long-term we’ve been in a downward spiral. You can’t fix anything with cuts alone, especially when they’re not strategic or tied to a real vision. This company won’t magically grow again. And after years of dumping on its most valuable resource, skilled and competent employees, you can’t expect to be an industry titan.

@ax Have you seen the numerous Class Action lawsuits lately?
Just Google it and you will see many. FB and the Financial team did a series of really bad things to inflate the stock price, and now many have to suffer the consequences of their bad behavior.
Shame on the C-Suite and the BOD for letting that happen

Guess what buttercup? Layoffs this, AI that, all while the rich get richer? This whole market, economy, society is reaching a breaking point. Try to be grateful you have a job with benefits if you do in this economy. It could be worse.

What do you expect when we hire cheaper workers, hire based on literal discrimination and lay off valuable people? This company gets what they deserve.

Do not look at 1 month valuation --- one year ( oh just Google fiserv stock price) and you see nothing but a downward trend from a high of 235 ( look it up ) down to 138 or so --- so this was not a rocket to ride. Shilly said that for ages. My entire department in the Alpharetta location left on their own to other jobs. Morale is through the floor from what I read here.

Fact: Frank artificially inflated the numbers so he and his c suite could get a cash grab before leaving. Anyone with a brain would know that Fiserv isn't and will never be a stock worth $200+.

I dumped my share a year ago. Why? Because I knew it was overvalued. If you bought shares at anything higher than $130, then that's on you. Where the stock is nowadays is where it realistically should be.

@ar You definitely don't work at Fiserv if your claim is that this year is worth less than last. Boohoo my stock. It's better to work here this year. Deal with it.

@ar been here since pre-merger. Are things perfect? No. Are they better? Yes. And trend is on the up. Sorry you’re so miserable. Heard McDonald’s is hiring.

@a5 You claim things are on the up and up. What dr-gs are you taking? You are delusional. You must be drinking the Fiserv Kool Aid.
