You are right in the fact the c level peeps have no idea how to right the ship that is listing so heavily, the deck chairs have slid over to the rail and I think the band has stopped playing. Riches to rags says it all.

I think Commscope execs would like a do-over with Arris. “This was the worst deal in the history or deals, perhaps ever.”
The timing also allows awarded options to vest.
Plenty of people RIF'd were already planning to retire and were happy to walk with a package. Nice how management works it out that way for their friends (and themselves) but are appalled if you suggest volunteering.
Let's see. Arris has to be leaking cash like a sinking ship.
- Arris was barely breaking even. It's even worse now, which is why Commscope
- Attempted to dump Arris
- Resort to > 100 layoffs.
- Then you have our struggling Foundry IXC - and seriously, who buys Foundry? Another leaking bucket.
Even the "beloved" Ruckus is absolutely trashed. When Sales & SE leave, it's a sign of loss of market share, declining revinues, etc.
If not next week, next quarter and the quarter after, and the year after. It's really a downward spiral that started a few years back, and continues, with absolutely no end in sight.
It's a riches to rags story, but c level management has been claiming the exact opposite for years. They really have no idea how to recover.
They all just keep trying to cut costs with more off shoring, and resulting in a serious deficiency in customer care and innovation.
I obviously lost hope in this company. But I'm putting away my soap box now. Have to get back to earning my paycheck, until I find another opportunity.
May I suggest that you enjoy your weekend and just focus on what you can control. There are too many universities rolling out MBA's for hundreds of thousands of wasted money, to worry about, and it won't change a thing.
You can only change yourself. Volunteering is a great way to feel great about yourself.
Cheers mate!
I'd like to be able to enjoy my weekend, if at all possible.
