Because Qc regularly reorgs. Some dept reorgs about once per year sometimes more. It’s part of the culture not just a rational business decision. Power trips abound

We need to ask the lawyers! Qualcomm engineers aren’t bight enough to explain anything… ask someone who actually brings a profit to the company… any Qualcomm lawyers out there who can explain the reorg?
Sure that is what mediatek and apple would like you to believe . Just looking at the profits qcom is generating without even trying to be the top modem supplier. (mantle taken over by mediatek). The only reason snapdragons are able to capture that profit is due to the modems. Might as well sell the entire snapdragon team with that phones are commodity logic.
Bc people are stupid and they have to miss the d-mb old people with young workers so a little work can get completed
