Thread regarding Citigroup Inc. / Citibank / Citi layoffs

Bonuses and Merit Increases

Last year my bonus was 9.5% and my merit increase was around 2.5%.

Do you all think I should expect less again or the same, assuming performance stays the same?

I have a feeling everyone is getting 3s across the board this year, as decreed from on high

Never ever hire on to any company and factor in what they tell you may be your bonus.
A bonus is not a given, its a possibility that may never unfold.

I still remember when I joined 3 years ago and they were promising 20-30% bonuses in tech. I knew it was bull but I didn't think it would be this bad. I consistently got a 2 rating and my bonus last year was 1.2% lol. The year before that wasn't much better. Needless to say, I have not put in much more than 1.2% extra effort this year.

Pathetic :(
Even a McDonald’s worker could get a higher bonus.

In technology, it is flat $1000, after tax deduction, it is around $640 in hand

Impossible question to answer. Your bonus is based on your org's budget and the employee pool. It will be different from area to area. Not sure why everyone is so worried about what they will get. You get what you get and find out when it happens. Until then it's speculation and don't spend what you don't have yet.

If you are in aml, you always get like 1.5 to 2percent.

Its a cost center. Yall dont male the bank money.

Getting a three is normal, 2is exceptional, and rare, and a 1 is beyond boot liking…

Have my review very soon, expecting a low merit increase and a low bonus, just like the past decade. My largest bonus I ever got was more than 20 years ago. the one and only time I ever saw a five-figure bonus @ Citi.

I got a very low increase and bonus despite getting 1/2 rating because they do not want to promote me and at the same time I am currently at the top end of the pay band. So rating is not the only thing that determines pay...
