Thread regarding VMware layoffs

Regular Layoffs Now

Feels like we derailed, now it’s the Broadcom/VMware Buyout forum - and not that I care.
Spec of regular layoffs, however, have been sat aside for anxiety of a future we can prepare for. What about now? Layoffs sweeping tech, Oracle bloodbath, hiring freezes, etc. Are we currently at risk of being laid off? Much rather hear about a possible blindside now since 2023 economy will likely be better than the current.

38,000 people are not coming here
Try subtracting 3 zeros

38,000 people don’t have a place to vent, slack groups at VMware are too politically correct. I guess that is to be expected.

@eib+1i2L5PVZ whole BU's got axed. GS would get cut drastically usually. I remember EUC being hit hard one year in the Broomfield office as an example.
