I've worked very hard to consistently be awarded with promotions, LTI, DTW visits etc. I am 100% remaining remote and 100% will be looking for new internal roles or promotions.

FWIW I think they'll bring everyone back in like they're doing, thin the herd and then relax the rules but I am deeply disinterested in being a pawn in this game.

All unionized counties in EMEA are exempt in"Phase 2". What does that tell you about what they are trying to do.

@tyl+1qWZWTQe People who can kiss a-s are getting promoted. I saw 3 promotions in my org in last 1 year.

They have stated that if you opt to convert to hybrid but do not comply with the 39 days/quarter mandate, it will be punishable as non-compliance with company policy. If they see this through, don't expect to get away with that.

In some sites, managers have banded together and are point blank refusing remote requests. This has to be a HR violation.

A manager cannot simply refuse remote cause he/she doesn't like it.
The manager has to have reasons as to why no remotes as outlined in the policy

sounds like your manager is a tyrant

@bzf+1qWZWTQe Just curious, is your team all based in the same area? My manager has stated the opposite...they intend to approve all remote requests, as our team is spread across three continents and four US timezones.

@wvv+1qWZWTQe Per the FAQ, if you are hybrid, they will be tracking your badge. If you don't hit 39 days a quarter it will be a part of your performance review.

1st year probably not much will happen if you're hybrid and don't go into the office xx times. maybe a slap on the wrist end of year

then after that your manager will probably be tasked to coach you quarterly

it makes no sense to go hybrid from a strategic standpoint unless you have a lucrative promotion upcoming.

What happens if I go hybrid but don't ever go into the office?

Don't go hybrid thinking you can come and go as you want.

They will soon renege on that as well and mandate x hours on site for each visit.

Bookmark this. It will be the next phase.

Probably Hybrid since I live close to an office. Since I can stay as long as I want, I'll probably just go in at 10am and leave around 12 or 1. Although, with the way Dell has been holding promotions back the last 4-5 years, one could say there is no point in being hybrid just for that.
