This is so depressing and chaotic just thinking of being in GF. No leadership and no talent left. Let us run out of this he-l before worst starts.

Thanks GF. About a year ago I had asked that if GF is serious about Globalwomen, how about making a woman a fab GM, and GF did it!! Now it's time to take it up a notch and make a woman GF CEO!! Then only things will improve.

He's retiring as much as HR leader did. Awesome retirement package, he will be working for another company soon.

Big surprise that the next a— li---r in line is HP. Every so often I come here to catch up on the drama/dirt of GF. As usual, it does not disappoint. Thank you

Yes, a very sad story.

Mubadala was sold dreams without a plan, as such, they remain dreams.

And he did not retire, he was pushed out and allowed to formulate his exit story. Otherwise you would have heard about all his retirement plans, like play golf or vacation/spend time with family.

Let's be honest, Malta (Fab 8) has been a failure recently for the company. The 12nm demand is really low because GF never invested enough in the FinFET tech and then they had to put 45nm nodes in the fab just to keep a small fab full. Of course, 45nm in general has much less profit margin than 12nm, ideally one doesn't want to be using 12nm tool capabilities to run 45nm. Again, overall Fab 8 has been a disappointment in terms of financials and fab loading portfolio. The employee turn-over has been really high at Fab 8 also, most all of the good engineers in technology development have left now as well, overall fab 8 is a very disappointing story!!!
