Family Day?!

I didn’t realize until half of the day was over that it’s a Canadian national holiday and that’s why all of our Canadian friends were gone from work today. I thought maybe it was because the nation was in mourning from the a-s kicking they took on the ice this weekend by team USA!

Our Canadian friends many of them will be able to take an extended family day off starting March 4. That’s the day they will need to get off their ar-e and actually work.

Did you know many people in Alberta believe they are blessed with oil and gas so it’s like an endless tap for them to exploit. They don’t care about anything but Alberta. They have been undermining and cutting into American productivity for too long.

We will impose a tariff it’s a great thing. They will be forced to lower their prices in order to make up for their tariffs this will be great for American consumers.

The department of government efficiency will establish the external revenue service. (ERS) whereby tariffs will be imposed on non American goods. This will allow us to lower taxes on Americans and thereby lower taxes needed to be collected by the IRS. We will transfer the most efficient workers to handle this new source of revenue.

Hahaha well you’ve got me there. I absolutely would have rubbed it in had they won. Good on Canada’s hockey team! It sounds like it was a good game.

The entire civilized world gets more time off and paid benefits than the USA. So much freedom. You work for the billionaire class to get richer. Look up "59% and a $1000 emergency" in the US.

@ts+1jmask7ty Sounds like you don’t give a F about anything, not even supporting your own country. I feel sorry for you. But let’s be honest bud, if US had won you would have RUN to the comments to rub it in.

Well not too many people in the US because most of us don’t even watch hockey much less care about it. Kind of embarrassing still for Canada though. I mean it’s your national sport and still such a close run thing. It would be like if in the Olympic teams from Canada beat team USA in pretty much anything not winter related. Oh well still a good game or so I hear. Because much like halfway through “Family Day” I didn’t find out about the score until much later because I don’t give a fu-k about Canada.

And here I was just pointing out how unfair it is that Canadians get all these extra days off and some enlightened young Canadian wants to blacken my eye…how crass. Oh well too bad this is an anonymous board. I sincerely doubt you’d threaten me otherwise.

Yawn.

Many Canadians have been acting far too smug and falsely superior for far too long. Canada has become ridiculously woke and swung too far into socialism while torching our own economy and culture from within.

When you passive aggressively poke a bear enough it will take a bite to teach you a lesson, that’s what’s happening now. Trump is an attention deficit blowhard who is teaching our weasel mo--n Prime Minister a lesson, soon he’ll be gone and Trump will get bored with this and move on to something else. People getting riled up on either side are low IQ emotional decision maker types.

Canada is still the best hockey nation but the USA is quickly closing the gap, there’s a lot of good American goalies!

I’m on Team Enbridge, I don’t care what country you’re from, my experience is most of our employees are good people working to provide for their families.

Is this really how US employees view Canada or just people trolling?

I saw posts on elink from a Canadian saying they harbor no will towards US. If US employees really feel this way about Canadians then gloves are off.

US employees if you cross the border with this attitude I will flat out send you back packing with a black eye and call immigration to deport you. GTFOC you facist fu--s - over my dead body will you take over Canada.

Canadian first … enbridge second.

FAFO US employees …

Many of the enbridge office jobs in Ontario and Alberta are moving stateside. Tariffs are a great thing. The only thing Canada may have if they are lucky is the extraction of oil and gas. In order to avoid tariffs - they will need to use US workers to extract it. Alberta hobos collecting poogy. As your tub of lard premier in Ontario says “send them to sparky”.

What will Alberta do with the wonderful tariffs ? No one wants dirty oil! We bought it at a big discount clean it up and sell it back at an even larger markup. Isn’t that wonderful and great.

I just have so little reason to engage with my Canadian “brethren” that it didn’t occur to me that you were out for the day. I get to the office by 7AM most days. But I appreciate your concern for my sleep cycle!

You didn't realize till half way through the day? Should try going to the office full time. Less likely to waking up at noon on a Monday

We gotta face the music, y'all. Our Canadian neighbors don't get nearly as much as we do. Let's let those su-kers make up for it through their holidays

You all think that Canada being taken over is a joke and that it will never happen? I’ve got bad news for you. This WILL happen. The globe is getting carved up into new territories. Canada and Greenland WILL be absorbed…don’t worry we will do our best to make sure you keep most of your “holidays”. Now what do you think about that, eh?!

We chose the name Family Day, because we actually care about our families

Many of their office jobs are moving stateside they better brace for the impact.

Hmm many homes are heated with natural gas via our pipelines - we can turn it off during winter just because. Give in Canada. You are at the mercy of the USA. Be thankful Trump wants to offer statehood instead of an unincorporated territory like PR.

As I understand it, they chose the name “Family Day” because it sounds less made up than “Random Holiday in February Day”.
