Currently there is a huge competition on the job market, but I think that most of us will succeed at getting a new job much earlier than most employees from other companies. Meta on a resume is of great value, I hope so anyway... Thoughts?

That's in fact backwards. The Fed recently posted that the major current problem to slowing down the economy is that people have too much un-spent savings - that will continue to fuel the economy - and thus as such will (The Fed) need to keep raising rates until that money is spent and there isn't any more to fuel the economy.
Look it up. Google it (ha!)
One can consider the the savings spent by the corporate tightening (and Zuk mistakes) out of work employees will help the rates and states plateau.
Competition (at these numbers) just means you need to stand out on even initial screening (bots) and resume.
So do what I do - review all possible job openings at top tech companies - and see what skills they're looking for. See what you can tweak.
When I got sacked 8 years ago I found my 15 years experience - while very much in demand - certainly needed a tune up as the world had advanced somewhat past me (think for me NUMA, locking, concurrency, lock free programming, ...) That realization was from a very detailed and wide on skills/positions, local (I wasn't relocating), of both desired and required skills. And then I worked harder than I every had studying and boosting those skills tune ups - and adjacent skills familiarization (say performance for open stack).
So the more "generic" (or "generic social engineering") your skills - the more competition.
If you haven't been in the job market for a LONG time - know that the HR bots on application web pages will both look and rate based on keywords - but for example for skills listed as "required" on a posting at BMI - application fill out asked details - and if not met - immediate discard - based on "required" . So even if something says "10 years required" don't say "9 years" (used to work with "people) as immediate boot.
So study up. Tune up. Distinguish.
Told not to hire anyone with Meta or FB on the resume. It’s like having IBM. Good luck.
You will not be looked at as damaged goods. I own a tech staffing company, and I know firsthand that META - Amazon, and Twitter have extensive screening processes; many companies across many sectors will be interested in your experience. Stay Positive!!! Getting hired at these large organizations was a challenging journey. Good Luck thoughts are with you and your entire families.

Looks good in the resume, but no one wants a pampered Type A personality disruptor on their company.
Type A didn`t work out if you are getting laid off !
So, yes... looks good, but managers will know what they are getting into !
And YES, outside your bubble, this is how people / managers perceive meta employees.
Do not believe all the Jobs advts on company websites - most are not "real jobs". Long overdue for the Dems to overthrow this requirement and keep all companies HONEST! Let companies post an advt only if they tend to hire or backfill and ___really___ add a new employee.
Please HR of companies - long overdue for you to band up and spill the beans on this corporate hiring "fake advts". Advts that are not meant to get a new perosn in! Please do not make employees burn mid night oil to brush up college-like coding questions despite having kids at home, especially when you do not intend to absorb someone.
I suspect that after leaving a company like Twitter or Facebook that you will be looked at as damaged goods and not worth the risk to bring in, especially if it means a lower pay scale and no frills.
I can tell you for a fact that having twitter or facebook on a resume throws a yellow flag for most hiring managers
I’m sure it will look good on the resume the only issue is that so many companies are laying off while the rest have frozen hiring. But the severance package looks very generous. Best of luck.
