It’s funny reading all of the posts crying about how the company doesn’t care about its employees. This is capitalism folks. NO COMPANY CARES ABOUT YOU. The ONLY thing that matters is profit.

True. Even I am with those got impacted. But after reading comments here, got a feel many think & talk like they are the owner of Dell, and have been driving the operations. I don't want to say it is delusional, but finding out your "position" correctly b/w you and Dell would help a bit, it is quite clear in a capitalism society. When it is over, no need to whine. Just move on

@tko+1utViDgS Henry Ford is not a company. And it seems pretty silly to compare current day companies to what we had 100 years ago. Not the same animal at all now. They have too much power today.
Not true. Henry Ford introduced the 5 day work week, weekends off, and his goal was to make sure his employees could afford the product they made. He also hired minorities during segregation at equal pay (a DEI pioneer). Now Dell Qanon wants us to go back to bringing back child labor sweatshops and only putting buddies in positions of power.
I mean of course. All companies are about profits. But here's the thing: All companies understand that success requires a good workforce. That requires employees who are talented and motivated. It's not necessarily about the company "caring about you", but it can't be about "I'm only here for the paycheck" either.
