yep, I just got my notification. 4 weeks + 1 week per year of service. I don't even feel bad. I gave more than I probably should have, but taking care of my team is what motivated me every day. The writing is on the wall. Leadership has no clue how to right the ship. Those are not my words, those words came from a Director who has been involved in these conversations. Good luck to the rest of you.
Yep...mine will be today...from furloughed to a layoff...I will post what they tell me.
We have full confidence that Pune will handle Support issues flawlessly over the upcoming Thanksgiving break.
This thread could be posted every couple months. Rinse and repeat. Until they move everything possible to India
@1qyk+17EJrd7N Necessary to be rude? My question was posed because there is always a RIF around the corner but wondered if the poster had received specific information from his/her manager. Some managers are more transparent Than others so was curious if the comment had more specifics or if this was a general comment. I don’t wish a RIF for anybody including you who so rudely implied I was an id–t. Not an easy time to find a job during Covid/upcoming holidays.
Not aware of any Town Hall meetings; the next one is scheduled November 9th. They did have the Q3 Fin meeting yesterday and mentioned clearly that they are budgeted for "Restructuring Costs". They did not mention how much was budgeted but in the Q2 Fin meeting they mentioned they had set aside $10 miilion for "Restructuring Costs" with half targeted for Q3 and half targeted to Q4. If i was a betting person (which I'm not), the week of the 11/16 would be my bet for additional layoffs.
We are quickly approaching the most holy of Allshits holidays! The post thanksgiving layoff! Good speed
@kbe+17EJrd7N on the last day of employment you won't be able to use the PC. Once you turn it in, someone wipes it.
I do not understand why they just don’t move operations to India. That’s all the company carea about.
Sales and everything should be there. It is a slap for those left in the US to compete with cheap labor and bad English.
@1xia+17EJrd7N: That's great news and a real relief! Thanks for the update.
Did they explicitly stat that there would be no layoffs for the group attending the town hall? I don't really know how they do things. I don't usually attend because of my ADHD.
Thanks!
I attended the town hall, no layoffs. We are good for this year.
Yes, those 'town hall meetings' , which is a hilarious description for meetings where you're going to get scr .ewe. d over, tend to be specialized to particular groups. Most likely because the offerings vary from BU to BU.
What Town Hall meeting? I’m an employee and I didn’t have the invite. Was it only a specific group?
Confirmed in todays town hall revenue cycle and surgical mgr teams asked to volunteer leaving.
No dates. No special package.
Praise to the BU leader for this amount of transparency.
Is anyone surprised at this point. I said next round of layoffs - November. My guess is announcement in November, layoffs in December.
Shame developers are being cut like this
@1fwg+17EJrd7N: One thing that was left out: 2/3 of Dev meant 2/3 of "remaining" Dev... which is pretty meager as it is. Real shame.
@szs+17EJrd7N: don't be such an idjit.
What do you want? A preview recording posted on youtube to verify what is obvious to the smart associates?
Today’s Town Hall definitely made it sound like layoffs are coming...2/3 of dev moving to India? Yeah...it’s coming.
Allscripts Layoffs page is dangerous than COVID. There health k–ls you , here fear k–ls you.
Is the work laptop remotely wiped?
Or once someone is terminated, they just can't login to their work laptop?
Hearsay, fact based, speculation? Please provide more context if this is fact based. Dates, what groups?
