Form an office of the vice chairman
Either the vice chairman appointed or the current CEO is shown the door…

Examples: Lee Iacocca was leading Ford in 1978 when Phil Caldwell was appointed vice chair. Iacocca was fired soon after and went to run Chrysler and Caldwell took over at Ford, followed by Don Petersen

Jac the Kn--e saw his leadership under fire when Nick Scheele brought in to a similar role, Nick was not the guy but Ford was in such a mess that Bill really had no other good options.

BF isn't that stupid. Investors in F made it clear, Doug is NOT capable of leading Ford as CEO. The stock would drop like a lead anchor!!!!!! It's Lawler's too lose if he repeats Mark Fields' mistake at partnering with major players. Let's see how Sherry performs, if she drops the ball then it's anyones guess. LOL maybe bring back Hinrichs or better yet bring back Desi now that Apple has cancelled Titan!!!!!

Some people sometimes say Doug Field. I don't think it's going to happen unless Ford EVs become incredibly profitable and market capitalization doubles.
I hope those writing it is not Doug himself :)
