At least we have enough time to prepare

Just imagine if we came in one day and they started to lay us off with no warning. I prefer it this way.

@swm+1o7Zutvm there is not enough time to leave voluntarily. Best case scenario in good economic times is 2 months from application to offer which is past notifications timeline.

Management wants you to leave voluntarily, to save on severance dollars. Employees with 20-25 years, can easily have severance in the range of 12-18 mos and depending on your title, other perks kick in.

Yes, same here. There are a lot of jokers who want Q to copy the faangs in everything including their brutal layoff style. Remember that abrupt layoffs without warning only helps the company not you. Prior notice gives more time to prep. Sure there will loss of productivity but if the C-suite is ok with that, then it's all good and certainly none of your concern.
