Sounds like a complete disaster… 3rd leader in roughly 3 years for IFS

Intel cannot make 3nm chip . How can it make chips less than 3nm?
The customers are at TSMC.
Where are the customers?
It’s getting rather late in the day to have no interest whatsoever in 18A.
Pushing everything to 14A isn’t exactly a financially viable option.
Stu was panned by Pat
How sad is it that the company that was built by Gordon and Andy and Bob Noyce has to rope in so called “highly talented executives” from…(checks notes)…Marvell, GloFo, IBM. Truly sad.
SP "actions" premise innovation was linked on more and more complicated price schemes for less and less valuable product. from that perspective it was similar to a scam.
Intel is deader than a dodo.
I see it comeing now. Kevin gets to be the guy who takes the podium to say: "With all of this fancy new equipment, we still can't quite guarantee sufficient yield" lol
He will face the same problem SP did - too many entrenched and incompetent senior and middle managers. I wish him luck.
With Stu's many many many faults... one couldn't say he tolerated inaction. Stu's biggest fault was surrounding himself with yes men... which was BK's downfall (no one gave bad news till it was too late to fix). While Pat continues to infuse new blood into Intel (almost all exec leaders have NOT been promoted from within... which is a great thing), it's unclear if they can flush out the incompetent legacy managers (VPs/10s) two layers and 10 years deep at this point.
hopefully he cleans house of the ineffective vp's in tmg/td. i doubt he will though.

"O’Buckley starts today and becomes a member of Intel’s executive leadership team reporting to CEO Pat Gelsinger. He succeeds Stuart Pann, who will retire from Intel after 35 years of service at the end of May and remain an adviser to support a seamless transition. "
Why not get some one competent from either TSMC or Samsung
SP got the hook. Don't expect the new guy to be better either. What's his resume says :IBM, GF, Marvell enough said
Intel should change its name to meh
What happened to Stu Pan, the man with the plan?
Did he get eaten by the whale?
