A Company that cuts your salary does not care about you.......it is that simple.....Leadership knows how important your salary is to you and your family. When a company cuts your pay they want you to leave...it means you are so disposable that they can gamble with you.....will you stay or go? They don't care. Be sure to ask yourself...is everyone really getting a pay cut? Or are they just saying everyone is? Not everyone is getting a pay cut...... it is sad when companies do this to people. Always know your worth! You are valuable, don't allow companies to treat you otherwise...

Come on, I would not consider a cut of 30% across the board as "they don't care about you". Have you looked at WTI price? I would rather have a job with 30% cut rather no job in this double edged sword environment. OXY does have the debt issue, but no different than all other companies that cannot survive without making necessary cuts to conserve cash

Will VH and the executives also be taking a salary cut?
Execs care about shareholders because they own the company and put their money into it. Employees only put their time into the company. And maybe kept the stock they are given and thus become shareholders. Remember, if it is to be, it’s up to me. We have to find faith and give grace now.

@sdu They are saying company. Which in the context of this Oxy complain and gossip site means company = corporation. Your small business talk has no context here. If you knew anything about small business, then you would know it has nothing to do with Oxy.
I might agree with you with some of the larger companies but as a small business owner with 55 people what are you supposed to do when your customers all go into hunker down mode? And others stop paying their invoices. That’s reality right now and it’s simple math if you don’t have enough revenue coning in to make payroll?
Everyone has been given a warped sense of companies and the people who run them. You all think of apple and Microsoft with countless billions in the bank. The average small business cannot survive for more than a month or two without revenue coming in.
