Thread regarding Boeing Co. layoffs

How many of you here actually work in Boeing?

And what’s the main reason you outsiders visit this webpage and talk garbage about Boeing? Are you simply jealous that we still have our well-paying jobs? You got canned from your c-appy job and now have too much time on your hands?

They haven’t taken any tax payer money.

As previously stated, they very well might do just that....but associating us blue collar types that actually build the product....not sit at a computer and program, sit and make poor decisions on financial vs safety protocol, sit and kiss exec, board member, or share holder butt on what’s right vs what’s cost effective and what’ll make their wallet thicker...

Please don’t lump the majority of Boeing employees that physically make the product vs those “employees that think they know what’s best...from some meeting room having never physically seen how thinks are done/built in our environment.”

There are a lot of life’s and people involved with the company. By simply saying “let it sink” is ridiculous and not fair to the majority involved. The decisions made for the software that affected the planes crashing and the tragic loss of life comes from a much smaller part of the company than you’d think.

We’d like to weed out the greed, the cost cutting piss poor choice making execs....but the majority of the thousands involved with the Boeing name are not to blame.

@6eha+14sQ87xi except they have not taken ANY taxpayer money. That's not to say they won't in the future.

But do a little research before you spout c-ap.

From an outsiders opinion........ Boeing k–led hundreds of people by putting a plane in the air that they knew had issues. Now they are taking tax payer money! Shame on the government for keeping this company going. Let the ship sink! and sink it will. Just wait.

At 5cwz ........very well put & the absolute truth.Union hurts the Co. big time because those exact type of people are the ones that unfortunately seem to get jobs at Boeing.FMLA abusers really piss me off, they show up 2-3 days a week & don't work at all when they are there. If you're incapable of actually working, Boeing is a perfect place for you.
What really s—s is there are lots of good people there, even semi-new people such as yourself that come to work every day & put in an honest effort but then the bad apples ruin it basically.Management are hapless at best, even they know the abuse & $$ being lost because of said bad apples but they're powerless to do anything about it.The Union protects these dirt bags but management will be quick to discipline people such as yourself, if you're not pulling the bad apple's weight. The worst are the old timers that are bad apples; there's plenty of older workers that work circles around the younger crowd, but just as many entitled losers that know all they have to do is show up for easy $$. Young & old alike, new hires to old timers, the bad apples ruin it for everybody. They pretty much run the Co.
Things will get worse & it's a shame to see good workers go, but hopefully some of the slacker crowd will be gone, for a long time.

A lot of us are employed by Boeing but “actually working there...”?

That’s a different story. That’s where the union hurts us. Because of them and managers not wanting to take the effort to get on these types...the company can’t dump the lazy ones or the not so mechanically inclined. How many holes can one drill oblonged, crooked, oversized? How may times can you over torque that b-but?...before you get fired? Or show up 2 or 3 days a week abusing fmla constantly.

It’s a joke. But I guess it keeps me employed to help clean up the mess or take on extra work when someone never shows up. And no I’m not some old timer...I’ve been there for 9 yrs and if rumors are to be believed about layoffs , might not be there much longer. There are alotta good people there too. But too many t–ds. Would be nice to flush them first.

Now if we can get people to walk without their cellphones guiding them....

All the downvotes are coming from either disgruntled ex employees who can kicked out for a good reason (smoking pot or absenteeism) or jealous outsiders sitting on unemployment and doodling sh– on this forum all day. Pathetic!

I work at Boeing, love it. Worked at other places enjoyed them, it is what you make it. I'm good at my job and I'm paid well for it. I take pride in my work and am admired for it. If I were one of these spoiled entitled b–ches crying about Boeing, I'd leave. Please grow up...

I work at Boeing and it's the worst f'ing job I've ever had. What a disaster Boeing is, there are better places to work, can't wait to leave. There's good people I work with but there's more people who are just plain stupid and lazy. And the low level, mid level and upper level management are the dumbest people I've ever been around, talk about piss poor leadership. Or lack of leadership.
Anything negative that happens to Boeing is all self-inflicted. And they sure as hell don't deserve taxpayers money for their own bailout.

OP I'm a Boeing employee. I always wondered why people who dont work for or have anything to do with Boeing come here. Their life is meaningless at this point.

@hqd+14sQ87xi Of course they will buy our planes. In fact they still are buying them, why do you think we still have our jobs and working overtime???
BA ain’t going anywhere, even if God forbid another plane crashes. Boeing is not just a company or enterprise but a conglomerate and one of the vital parts of US economy and defence.
Stop being jealous and go back to making coffee at Starbucks. I might stop by after work to order a mocha from you, make it nice!

F Boeing and its criminal enterprise. Cant make a plane that can fly safely and just surviving on taxpayers money. No airline will order a plane from your trash company this year.
