Thread regarding Adidas layoffs

AI should replace Senior Directors, VPs etc.

reading previous post how AI will lead to next round layoffs I have a proposal, hear me out.
let's be clear most of leadership all the way to VPs are basically walking chatbots, you don't even need "thinking" AI models to replace them, some older ones will do the job. Then add agents workflows to generate endless stupid powerpoints and initiatives, randomize meeting creation and that's it. At least that kind of leadership will do a better job - faster, more accessible, zero price, less d-mb noise, jokes and posts. Their shallowness and lack of any deep knowledge is literally any area is insane.

Worthless anyway, at least we save some money, win win!?

@53s And still the incompetent managers who have the right connections will remain..this company needs a radical shake up at the top but also new leadership infusion. (And I do not mean old friends from Puma.....)

they are like blind kittens, or headless chicken, total insecurity and lack of any vision, even short-term. Trying to mask it with bs fluff, hype bandwagon jumping and trying to look innovative while having zero understanding what they are talking about. Really needs some cleaning and reduction in the seniors structure

Senior leadership with the exception of a few just read the room and say things that don’t upset the status quo. Can easily be replaced by a chatbot that summarizes text.

Absolutely!! First they should start with CEO Julie Sweet should be replaced with a BOT. She is a DEI hire, promoting woman for leadership role. She can't name one decision or her vision which can be positively quantified.

Is it me or every single time some senior push some "vision" I cringe - like dropping some revelation saying the most obvious points any college student or intern would do? Something like, "let's get revenue higher", "we should scale", "connect ecosystem"? Without anything real following up. Like no thought at all behind this all. It's surreal to me. How these people find those jobs? Who hires them? I never seen anything as d-mb as this.

@a6+1k3p5a1f2 You need to add that this is the same reason they don’t like smart ones, smart ones call their game while others are busy to clap for leaderships nonsense. Leaders keep and promote only the ones who play three monkeys, so that their incompetence is not visible (at least they believe so)
