Wow. It appears that Mr. "@rv+1jsm9jd46" is yet another one of those brown-nosers who was able to remain at HP forever by backstabbing others and taking credit for work he never did. I've seen these types countless times. They're everywhere at HP, and CWs in particular despise them.
@jz Are you the same person as @at below? Chill out. HP was actually really good before Carla. They made top of the line testing equipment. I bet you were at HP for a shorter amount time than most people and you’re just hounding on other people worked at HP and putting words in their mouth. People who worked there for a long time obviously didn’t know how about it would get until they get laid off.
I was let go from HP a few years ago. With my current company, I have a coworker who left in 2010 and he said his final responsibility was to train TDC to do what he was doing. I told him that the HP he once knew is long gone.
Sad that innovation at HP is only creating PowerPoints about it.

Some people like their jobs and moving is expensive and a major PITA. I feel lucky that I finally found remote work that pays very well.
I worked for Compaq/HP/HPE for over 30 years and I enjoyed my job up until the very last year when it became clear that upper management had no clue. I had to leave and I don’t regret it. My new coworkers value my contributions and input and they give me respect. I never got respect at HPE. My managers at HPE never really knew what a great employee they really had.
What on Earth made you stay for 15 years?? Imagine all the other opportunities that were wasted on those extra years.
