Thread regarding Sears layoffs

How the last mainland United States Kmarts will close

Let’s be honest. Kmart Kendale Lakes/Miami will definitely next Kmart to go. they’re definitely taking their time with the renovation. It’s more like they’re just waiting to get the right tenants aligned up. And that’ll be the end of that location. I also firmly believe that Bridgehampton will soon follow after Miami. Because there is already a tenant line up for the location. Westwood will be the last Kmart in The United States

The last time I looked on the Sears and Kmart websites to try to buy a queen-sized sheet set, there were none available. If they can't sell a basic item like this online, what can they sell?

Miami is a fulfillment center for WHAT!?!? Kmart's website hardly has anything on it, and the things it does have are mostly third party items. Hard to believe they even need a fulfillment center.

I mean... I just hope it happens quickly. This has been like one of those poorly-acted dying scenes that goes on for 5 minutes or something. Just get it over with already.

@1nzc+1fWOArdd I Know, right? I really hope OP is trolling, and/or being ironic. If not, then he is really sad.

"Because there is already a tenant line up for the location."

First of all, OP, you mean LINED UP, not LINE UP. Also, Bridgehampton has no tenant LINED up. That store is currently hiring managers. Miami? As mentioned about 100 Times that's a fulfillment center that was just remodeled. Probably won't close soon. What does that leave, hmmmm? 🤔🤨😏

Seriously? With all the pain and suffering going on in the world today, you're wrapped up in which Kmart dump out of 3 will close next?

@ljs+1fWOArdd Because its an online fulfillment center. Literally read the answers below before asking a question that's already been answered literally 2 inches below. Come on, man. Really.

@rsq+1fWOArdd Get over it dude. Its a store, not your first born. I see you spamming this nonsense all over Reddit too. They are all terminal ill, plug to be pulled soon. Who cares which is first or last? Normal people don't pleasure themselves to NJ Kmarts, sorry to break it to u.

  1. think there is a point with so few stores they close them all at once. I think they need to get the hometown owners gone or paid to go away first.

Serious question - why do they need the Kendall Lakes Kmart to remain open while they search for a tenant. When I was in there a year ago, about a quarter of the store was already blocked off. Now it’s been reduced even further, so what’s the point? I would feel like an open Kmart would lower the property value, not help it

Yes I agree! Westwood is gonna shock everyone and be the last U.S. mainland Kmart standing!! And for all the downvote people, why so much dislike? Let a few people enjoy the remnants of the former Kmart empire while it's still around!

Who even cares? It's like discussing which insect the exterminator will exterminate last! What's the difference? They will all Die anyway, soon enough. And (not that it matters, but) Miami is a online order fulfillment center, so that's why it won't be the next to close, even though it's right next door to Targy/Wally. That's why they remodeled it to about half it's size so thy can lease out the rest of it, while basically using it as a defacto online fulfillment building. They'll keep the actual store open, but that is not their primary focus, at that location.

And if you're so good at predicting things, predict something useful, such as Tomorrow's Lotto numbers, instead of useless things, like which Kmart will close last. That's about as unimportant as which weeds on my Lawn I will spray last. Who cares? I'll get them all sprayed eventually anyway. They will all DIE. The sequence is unimportant.

What tenant is lined up for Bridgehampton? Would be a perfect spot for a Target. The nearest one on that end of Long Island is Riverhead I believe.
