Thread regarding Sears layoffs

When will Sears Home Improvement close

I just want to know when the lay offs will start in the Home Improvement Division. The only thing that is selling is Air Conditioners. Will it survive?

Per the 13F filings the hedge funds are long gone. Lampert's been selling off bits and pieces of all his holdings for years with no publicly available purchases. You've got to wonder what he needs the money for. Probably to prevent TransformCo from going into bankruptcy which would lose him all the NOLs.

Weren't the ESL/RBS funds fully liquidated after the last partners left? I believe there's only the holding company and other shells 100% owned by Lampert

There is no such person as Ed Lambert (in ownership of Sears anyway). The fact that people are trolling misspelled names, on a Summer Weekend, is just so sad. I feel sorry for the younger generation that has lost all social skills, and has to resort to this. Even if you're a loner, at least turn on the game, or something.........have a few Cold ones.....go for a swim.......something.............

Again, Eddie Lampert is the owner of Transformco. There are many sources online that confirm this.

I, like you, am a highly credible and trustworthy journalist and abide by the ever present rule of Source Protection. Or, as my journalism instructors always called it, "Never reveal your sources".
I trust that you, being the journalist who oversees these pages, can be held to these high values!

Eddie is the primary holder of ESL Investments and one of the primary holders of RBS Partners.

Anyone can edit it, but if someone edits without a valid source (links or it didn't happen), the edit will soon be reverted so it's meaningless. Try it now, as an experiment. Go to Roger Federer's (or any famous athlete's), page and edit that you beat him in tennis. I wouldn't give it more than 20 Seconds before that silly edit would be reverted.

Wikipedia has a policy of "source (link) it or don't add it".

I follow that same philosophy here, and on other sites. Prove it or don't post it. Links or it didn't happen.

Wikipedia is unreliable as anyone can edit it to put what they want on there.

Nope, it's wholly owned by EL.

Nope. ESL, RBS & Transform LLCs all own TransformCo LLC which bought Sears assets from Sears Holdings. I know that for a fact!

Nope, Eddie Lampert is the owner of Transformco. And I (along with other journalists) practice, well, journalism, on this website. Adios.

Wow the "journalist" sure has to explain a lot to gain some kind of upper hand

Actually, 3 separate LLCs are the owners of TransformCo. A "Journalist" would have investigated this. Alas, those journalistic skills are fleeting when you stoop to using this website.

You writing to yourself? I don't hate anyone. I am simply a journalist who reports the news with proper spelling. It appears I made you mad, because I pointed out a spelling error, and I also pointed out, where someone referred to LAMPERT as a spelling error, where it as actually a Capitalization error.

Funny, how, when people lose a grammatical argument, they have no other choice but to sheepishly resort to other types of personal attacks. NO matter what, "you lost, I Won", just happened.

Regardless, to be clear, the owner of Sears (Transformco) is Edward Scott Lampert. There is no other valid spelling of his last name. Oh, and here are a few more consolation prizes. 😉🙂😊😁 Thanks for playing. Cope.

Sounds like you are the one "trying harder" with all your d-mb emojis like that adds validation to your "argument". Must be fun to obsess over the spelling of a name of someone you hate so much.

@2rch+1ndWiMSk Wrong again, mor0n! LAMPERT IS the correct spelling. It's just the wrong Capitalization scheme. Try harder. 😜🤪😝😛😋

LAMPERT is not the correct spelling. No one spells their name in all caps, mo--n.

I got a laugh in 2020 when Transformco/Lampert had the fantasy of selling Home Improvement for a $billion dollars.

https://www.cnbc.com/2020/07/01/sears-exploring-sale-of-home-improvement-business-sources-say.html

They wouldn't be able to get a billion grains of sand for what's left of this business. Like everything else related to Sears, it's dwindled down to nothing.

I wonder if they have been trying to sell off the services businesses and they must be of value to companies already in the industry.

@1pfx+1ndWiMSk LMAO, probably the fact that there is only approximately 1 Sears, for each one of those 10 people, left. 😁🙄🤣

LMAO, even if I was deranged enough to want to shop at Sears (I'm not), I'd have to travel about 2000 miles to be anywhere near one!

@rrp+1ndWiMSk So who's stopping those 10 people from enjoying shopping at Sears?

Interesting that someone implies there can be happiness on a "Layoff" page if only people would stop talking about "Layoffs" and "Closings".

Perhaps there should be a Sears channel on thewonderousgreatnessofretailstores.com
