Southpole and Hanes have backed out of doing business with us. You will start seeing hard markdowns and less merchandise hitting the stores. This is going to massively impact the intimates/men’s basics business and young men’s.

@2oib+13B4KG9D You’re probably seeing more Hanes product coming into the DC where you’re working because other DCs are being closed and the remaining product is being shifted to the remaining DCs.
What do you mean? I work at a DC and we just got a ton of Hanes in - more fake news
All this and we still have DM's visiting the stores asking why we haven't done out of stocks in mens basics, LMFAO!
Word has gotten around in vendor world to stay away from Sears due to its financial straits. And you are correct. Hanes need to protect their own brand. That is probably one of the reasons they bailed from Eddie.
At this point being seen in a Sears or Kmart store is bad for the brand.
Funny thing is up until the middle of last year, it seemed like Hanes couldn't stop sending us underwear. We'd get so many displayers and regular boxes that we'd have to just start setting up entire extra aisles of men's underwear. Stuff definitely sold like hotcakes once liquidation rolled around at least.
I don't blame them for not doing business with Eddie Lampert. His past business decisions have been poor.
Bvd?
What about bvd
Adam Levine was a licensing deal, like Jaclyn Smith. Adam left Kmart at the end of 2018. The replacement is in house brand AMP, or Amplify. Some of the best sellers in the Adam Levine line were rolled into AMP.
How about Adam Levine? Did he cut ties with Kmart?
Joe Boxer is a sears brand and Covington has been gone for years, which was also a sears brand
There’s always Covington
Is Joe Boxer the house brand for this line of apparel?
Hanes has not been on sale since late December when it was 40% off, before that it was 50%.
Fruit of the Loom/Russel Athletic has been out for 18 months
Hanes/Champion take up a large amount of our floor. They aren't interchangeable with any of our house brands that are rarely promoted, if ever. This won't be good for our sales numbers.
Hanes owns Bali, Champion, Maideform, Playtex so I'm guessing they are also leaving Sears/kmart.
Kmart does not sell Soutpole, but we do carry Hanes.
89 Sears + 44 Kmarts = 133 stores. Subtract specialty formats (3 Home & Life, 4 Appliance & Mattress) and you have 126 stores that might still sell clothing.
Lose the customer who would visit the store for Hanes, and you probably lose the customer for any other subsequent shopping too.
with the company more or less trying to get out of the clothing business anyway, I cant see where this really matters much.
Oh my god. For the 60 stores left?
What business?
