Thread regarding Devon Energy Corp. layoffs

Safety second

I would like to say thank you to those 20+ people that followed cdc guidelines and wore a face mask in a public setting. I dont know where you have been or who you have come in contact with. I know you realize that it takes 4-6+ days for symptoms to first show. You wear a mask not only to protect yourself but to protect others. You truly are the ones providing a safe work environment.

There was a lot of 6ft communication yesterday. It would be a real shame to Hager, the board, and our stock investors if half the company couldnt work. I was really surprised to see hardly anyone in EHS wearing a mask...I guess they dont have a sticker for that.

I realize the odds are high that you all can figure out who posted this (98%)...I just dont care.

Don’t watch news & don’t go online. You don’t hear anything about masks anymore 👍🏻

You know what you don’t hear enough of these days? What their opinion of masks is. Man, I wish I heard more opinions on it.

Watch the following videos on YouTube if you think masks are stupid.

PART 1: SIMULATION OF THREE COUGHS | NO MASK | 10 MINUTES https://youtu.be/3I3G4HN2MEs

PART 2: SIMULATION OF FOUR COUGHS | WITH MASK | 10 MINUTES

If safety is second, is layoffs first?

Covid, much like my knife wounds to your back, take up to 14 days to show any symptoms. Unfortunatley the last knife I thrusted ended up in my own back. I have no loves but left a wide track of victims. Devon finally didn’t allow what continued during my shady a– career

Yes, the majority of infected people don’t die, but you still don’t want to get it, do you?

Think about this... if you get one, you have to go through all the hassles in order to come back to work (if you still have your job lol). If you meet or live with someone else (family, friends, roommates, etc.) They have to take tests and possibly have to quarantine for a while. Or are you going to show up to work and/or public places by knowing you are infected? Hope you are not that inconsiderate m-f-

"If you would not purposely cough on your parents if you knew you were infected, then respect other people around you. Do not accidently spread it through your vapor droplets when you may be asymptomatic. Respect other people. Do not be rude, dirty, stubborn. Just because something isn't ordered on you does not mean it's not the right thing to do. Do the right thing. Oh yeah, that is a DVN thing.... Maybe you would cough on your mother if you were sick?"

Zulu then do it. Go contract it, and then intentionally cough on your kids, wife/husband, and parents. Put your money where your mouth is. Otherwise, don't be rude, disrespectful to other people. That diabetic beside you in the grocery store deserves your respect and societal responsibility.

@rlqn No other developed country is doing so badly like us. America has one of the world's worst coronavirus responses. People like you make America No. 1! Whoo-hoo! We always love being #1. Way to go, buddy! ‘Merica! 🇺🇸

The mainstream media says we can all go back to the way things were before COVID-19 on November 4.

You guys are a bunch of scared fools. Brainwashed like a bunch of children. Covid = as dangerous as the common cold

Mostly Diabetics and Heart diseased people are actually getting k*lled from it.

Amazing how the news can work all of you up into a panicked frenzy. This is an indication of your low IQ and stunted emotional maturity. Bunch of entitled corporate brats and hypochondriacs. Get a hold of yourself you losers!!

Covid is real, but only handing out 0.5% Darwin Awards to those getting the “merry covid” wish. CDC/WHO is pushing out too much information prematurely that turns out to be extremely flawed as more datasets continue to be gathered and analyzed/ peer reviewed. “Asymptomatic transmission is very rare” was changed to “Actually we don’t know.” Which is probably the most accurate thing they have said. “We don’t know”

Until an N95 mask is given and a mandatory wear order is given. I will not wear one, but let’s be clear, if I do wear one, I will at least wear it correctly unlike the rest of you rebels who literally contaminate everything they touch, including that useless safety blanket improperly strapped to your face

What is wrong with you people who are not wearing masks? If you are asymptomatic and going to the grocery store or something similar without a mask, how dare you not respect those other people around you. Respect others. It is pathetic that you are so selfish, childish, and short-sighted.

I know someone who had it. Dang near died. In the hospital for a month. Intubated, dialysis. Not old either. Mountain climber. He's alive but not the same. If you're smart you'll wear a mask.

Wearing a mask is a bunch of baloney. I refuse to social distance and think this whole coronavirus thing is way overblown. I have yet to meet anyone who knows someone who has or had the virus. Throw your mask away

Just as the WHO releases data saying asymptomatic spread is “very rare”. They, along with the CDC, has changed their opinion on safety requirements about as often as you should actually change your mask, which 98% of the public can’t wear correctly not to mention not using non-N95 masks. So shame on the 20+ people for effectively doing Nothing except giving the perception of safety and shaming others.
