Hopefully this is her last year here.

I am still trying to figure out who was given the ax to make layoff decisions. From what I hear, a lot of ageism and maybe gender/ethnicity. Even if Karen or HR doesn't know, they are responsible. They are responsible for keeping the best despite their age, gender or who their friend is. And I think they royally effed this up and the board doesn't know this.
I doubt this board is going to do anything with Senior Management...unless an activist comes on or the Financial community figures out that the promise of Enterprise cross selling/usage is years in the offing and the premium baked into the stock price is based on a current reality of CVS Pharmacy and 'Scripts share and growth. I do wonder of some of the Walgreens "stink" may rub off on CVS (as in in "show me how Signify and Oak St. are paying off")
Corporate headcount will be reduced this fall. Senior leaders hired too many after the restructure in 2023.
The HR person who was reading from a script at our layoff call last week sounded like she was calling us from a submarine. We could barely hear her as she read her script. Probably looking over her shoulder, too. All the while CVS and Omnicare leaders telling everyone how great everything else when the entire place is an embarrassment.
It’s really crazy how Karen and others can get up there and speak like everything is so positive and going great. They just laid off 5,000 people, the departments impacted are not doing great. No departments are doing great. And then Lorie (HR Chief or whatever) acting like the benefits here are “industry leading”. LOL! Our benefits are useless. And she looks like a dead owl, probably from all the pressure of lying so much.
@rkh+1rBoVN2Y She is exactly what the board wants. The employees are not the focus. Customers really aren’t either. The focus is squeezing as much profit as possible quarter after quarter.
With the exception of Tom Ryan, CVS’ track record of CEOs and presidents are some of the worst displays of humanity in corporate America. This dates all the way to the Harvey Rosenthal. They were born a miserable company and always will be no matter who the CEO.
Yeah. False hope as most of the RQ thought they were spared at least until October. I hope Karen is happy for taking on a company she shouldn’t have! Long term care ruined our “family” company. But she doesn’t care. She will still get paid a good lump sum while the rest of us will scrape and try to pull though. 🤬
Love to know what we don’t hear much about Aetna!?!?! Just Omnicare!? 🤬
Sorry to hear about the layoff. Hope you find somewhere quickly that treats you better.
So sorry RQ team. I work in one of the LTC pharmacies and appreciate all of you and what you've admirably put up with & hung in there over these last few years. I'm sure none of us have much longer. Disgusting
Well, as expected, our RQ team at Omnicare was laid off today at lunchtime in a group call. Looks like nobody on the teams was spared. Not sure if the team leads and supervisors were spared. Last day will be April 12.
Not a coincidence the official word happened the day after the Town Hall.
Oh my goodness, all of the kiss*ss questions that were asked. Maybe Karen should donate all of the bazillion dollars she thinks her book is going to make to all of the people that she's laid off in the last couple of years.
The reality is that CVS firing her would actually be doing her a favor. She'd get a huge buyout of millions, then be able to land another cushy job somewhere else. All the while leaving behind a train wreck of damgage. No different than these awful football coaches in college getting $10 and $12 buyouts for just going away.
Agreed, when you take millions of dollars while thousands lose their livelihood. Pure incompetence
Karen is a horrible person. The audacity of talking about taking care of customers when she can’t even take care of the employees. The board needs to act now. She is not a leader. The entire board should resign for this terrible hire.
