@1whj 60 to 80 hours ? I have teammates that want to pick up kids at 3pm and then take days off when they have a cold. They barely do any work maybe work 20 hours a week delivering intern level work. No wonder we can't compete with anyone
@rhq... you are exactly right about the 80 hours a week. Intel can't compete with foreign companies who have employees who work 60-80 hours a week for less compensation. Americans aren't as hungry for success as the rest of the world. Until this changes it will be hard to win at anything.

Intel is a cult. The leadership sings in chorus and they are sycophants. They brought the company down. It goes way back in time. They cushioned their pockets cultivating the same kind of thinking. People were gaga over from Craig Barrett on down to Pat Gelsinger and you can clearly pin down the missteps and the consequences for the company and it's workforce. They encouraged this kind of servitude weeding out contrarian thinking.
A mass exodus of these people is expected… Lip-Bu Tan will make people work 80 hours a week and will get rid of the dead weight
