Thread regarding Citigroup Inc. / Citibank / Citi layoffs

Even insiders are admitting the real issue at Citi

I can see that in my own team - managers can barely speak English. My manager is shouting at team members - he tried to raise his voice couple of times when I joined but he realized this approach will not work with me. Emotional intelligence is close to zero. In addition, it is obvious they are racist and elitist (and no, they are not white haha). Pathetic.

female perhaps?

Their point is accurate. I had a manager in from Luxembourg that said they were fluent only in written English. Not her fault, part of the role/objectives was to improve her language skills to go higher in Citi.. but naturally presents challenges and miscommuniucation during calls especially

I love how managers and people email you and blow up your IMs during vacations and after hours. It's rude and bad form. My manager only sees people as numbers and nothing more. Not once has my manager or our lead folks asked how we are doing through all of these changes. It's only chop chop, BAU, get me this sh** or do that before EOD, blah blah blah. Over it all. Practicing detachment from all situations. You want a robot that's what you're getting until I get off work (I stopped extra time LMAO) and can be the real me with my family.

Yes, it matters. You brought race into the conversation and the inability to speak English.

Post ID: @ren+1rRigvAy: does it matter? I mentioned it just to block the usual rant about entitled white men being racist.

If they are not white, what are they?
