May 26 rewards

Leader here, do not expect anything this cycle. We got peanuts in the name of budget, not sure how to manage with this much generosity by Cisco

@13z What was communicated to everyone, I think it was from CISCO Beat, was that the total focal budget set aside by CISCO for 2026 was split into two half on both merits and promotions. So, in Aug 2025, your leaders were getting approx. 50% of what was budgeted for 2026. It was up to your leaders to decide on how to spend. This time (March 2026) was the second 50%. Now, there were a lot of re-org and attritions in between so what was actually distributed down was more less a mystery. However, it is the same practice as before - few will get some, and many will not.

What's the deal? Half a year ago 50% of the budget was spent and now the remaining 50% will be spent. Correct?

How were these 50% spent last time? 50% on everyone or 100% on 50% of all employees?

Sad how this will play out… Cisco splitting the promo stuff a few months ago and now there is magically no budget. I hope this doesn’t end up happening, but Cisco leadership is spineless.

@s3 Thanks. So I’m assuming the rumors on the 15% cuts is not something you’ve heard about either? Sorry for the questions. It’s clear there are a lot of rumors that constantly spread on this platform that are not true. It’s not certainly not something I’ve heard about.

We submitted our initial list early Feb.; had to include all our reds and blues to hit new budget/margin numbers. Reds are all gone in the wipe a week or so ago. List got reviewed last week so expecting blues next.

@re Thanks for sharing. I’m a leader, I’ve not received any list for my team and we have zero budget at the moment. Can you confirm if the lists have already been put together by Director levels or at management level selectively?

Leader here. Can confirm, LRs are coming in a few weeks, likey start of Q4. Was on several calls last week making lists, comparing performance across the org, etc. To my knowledge, not a mass casualty event. This is limited to specific orgs under budget pressure.

@OP Is this the case to keep jobs? As a leader have you heard of any LR’s affecting anyone this time around in May or August? If so, have you had to prepare any lists already and send them in? I’ve not heard anything yet for why I’m asking. Too many people in these rooms spreading rumors. As a leader I’ve not heard anything as of yet.

@mk! Where is your source coming, Blind? How do you know this? What orgs? Don’t spread BS lies if you’re not going to come with sources or information.

If you are in "high cost" sites (aka most of US) - this got be the normal thing going forward. I think CISCO's message is kind of like "you will be luck we have not yet LR you because of AI like to others".
