Praying for you today on your new team
They say the first day you go to prison you should break a chair over the back of another inmate so everyone knows not to fu-k with you. Similar environment, and you may want to consider doing that.
Yeah and it’s not professionally done based on seniority of performance
I remember the IESNP who knows so little making decisions based on who she liked costing us dearly experienced leaders
I can attest that they will not match your new title from the re-org. To me, it doesn’t quick make sense because if I had applied for this position it would have been a title change. It su-ks.
They never upgrade your position. It's always a downgrade. Awful job duties, awful hours, awful boss. The interviews I had coming out of home health, the recruiters were very upfront with me about the downsides of the positions. I tapped out before an offer was even made. I suspect those positions they can't fill are the ones people get re - orged into.
Doesn’t anyone find that kind of weird, than why make people put in resumes for positions if you can just move people around. Others have to jump through hoops to move within the company , while others just get moved without them even saying or asking out of courtesy. They should give someone the option if they want to move or be laid off.
This happened to me last year. It really su-ks. Was on the home health side when the layoff hit a few months back and managed to get into an entirely different department doing work that's a whole lot less stressful and under a boss who's not he-l bent on ruining my life. I lucked out, but I understand this is what the company does. They give zero fu--s what you want to do, what you're even good at, they just put you where they need you. I'm looking for other work, and I recommend you do the same. This company doesn't care about any of us.
SOP at Optum its that option or out the door. I refer to it as voluntold . Been doing the same job function for 10 years 4 different job titles 4 different organizations 10+ mangers. The check cashes its an acquired taste. Go somewhere else find the same thing under a different logo it is what it is.
Start looking for a new job. That’s what I did. If you’re going to start over with new people and a new project you might as well do that at a better company that pays more and treats you better.
There is never an explanation as to why besides generic things. We recently went through a re org shuffle. I feel like it’s a game of musical chairs. We all had funding but the director wanted to shake things up I guess.
This is typical from Optum. I've been here 8 years, and I've been on the receiving end of that situation a couple times. No warning and very little explanation from the organization. Good luck.
wow
Try to make the best of it and protect yourself by looking for new opportunities. That's what I am doing, it's tirering but that life. Control the things you can, accept the things you can't.
