Apparently FirstLight is acquiring Crown Castle Fiber, and they will not be taking existing CC staff only assets. If CC just laid off Network CMs today that means they are about to do the same to Permitting, Engineering and Design, and more CM groups in other regions. So this is just June layoff continued…

That’s all these fiber companies do. Expand quickly without any regard for anything then sell themselves. Then some executive uses that money to get funded and start another one. Lightower people all went to Lightpath and first light is just crown people too.
The firstlight prediction is interesting being one of the most recent Glassdoor reviews talks about Crown people being brought in to prep firstlight to be sold lol

@1spy+1tLCL3OM Those people are part of the reason CC is in bad shape. They have no clue as to what is on the fiber side. That's what happens when a REIT plays telecom dress up and role plays. Seems to be the thing to do nowadays. Pretend to be what we're not.
@qwz+1tLCL3OM how is there no such thing as a provisioning team? There are people at CC fiber with titles such as Mgr Network Provisioning, Engineer Network Provisioning and Network Prov Specialist
Confirmed - RP just sent an email to the South region teammates only that dues to project cutbacks, selected teammates in the South are being let go.
@qwz+1tLCL3OM Cant speak for the east or central regions but for the south region I know for a fact that all the CMs in the CARTN district with the exception of one has been given exit dates that were "safe" from the June RIF

I work in the enterprise sec department. We were just instructed to shutdown over 400 people asap. It appears most of the people are on fiber teams.
The Dir Regional Eng, ML, for Central region fiber just got his Teams account disabled. Provisioning team for East just got/getting rif’d as we speak. One of the CM teams down south also.
I’m currently at a Crown office and overheard someone say something is also happening with Fiber Engineering teams for central region. Not sure what yet

Not just South, there are teams in the East region that just got riffed this week. Someone on here also mentioned it is happening in all regions.
First light is filled with crown people. They are a NE company my guess is they are only buying the NE assets hence laying off south people.
