How do we feel about Marketing doing their job??

Most of the good folks from marketing have left over the last couple years from what I’ve observed. Marketing feels more and more like fluff
It's unfortunate as the company has so much potential with products, but the leadership made some boo boo moves with acquisitions. This allows marketing to stay in business + hire more staff while they axe out so many great talented folks that actually cared about the well being of products.
It does sound like more layoffs are on the horizon in the next few quarters + changes to MBO/Comp plans. This is certainly motivating to stay!
Forget marketing. Management laid off the most experienced technical staff and technical support. Managers handed their tasks to newly hired people. As a result, engineers are swamped with technical support issues instead of working on new products to expand and solidify portfolios.
Expect an increased turnover rate this and next year. But don't worry! Management seems more concerned about "diversity" than technical excellence and moving the company forward.
