Ford Performance is now Ford Racing

JF is happier than a pig in mud.

Model E is next

@qt Who cares? The middle class doesn't buy these things.... Why do you think they fall apart in 3 years.

The company never knew what to do with Performance and Racing. Keep the marketing internal, outsource it, cut costs bring it back in. They've never done right by either. Bring it all internal and roll with it. Blend them. The "bo-m" of NASCAR is long over. JF drivng around the country is just cinder block activity. Who cares about cars that can go 200MPH. The average consumer needs a damn vehicle that meets middle class needs. The company doesn't provide enough options in the single most prosperous market. Then again most everyone on this board already know this.

I sincerely hope Ford embarrasses itself on the world stage when they get back into F1. Nothing would better than to see Mad Max sitting sullenly next to a smoking RedBull.
For Ford to be spending money on this cr-p when the company is in the state that it is in currently is ridiculous.
I wish you all the worse Ford!

@d5 Ford was at Dakar for the past few years but never won, always behind Toyota. Making a car look and sound cool while it works well for a day is what we are good at. Designing an ultra reliable car to handle multiple weeks of treacherous conditions is something we should leave to Toyota. He-l, even MINI does it better. Farley better hurry up and realize this before flushing all our money down the Ford Performance/Racing toilet.

When you beat KAMAZ, you are 'good'. Until then...

@d5 modify name to Ford Performance Plus Racing. Force to come in last 10% of the time with inconsistent performance.

@a2 with Ford's quality, they are never going to win anything at Dakar. Those trucks will have more recalls than stages at Dakar. Unless the drivers have access to all the recall service manuals, they ain't winning.

Farley fired most of the ICE TEs in 2022 and 2023 who helped Ford racing and performance when problems erupted. Farley is a tool

Racing, $300,000 halo cars, Model E, aka snowballs chance in he-l, and of course recalls. What is wrong with this picture?

Jim Farley has straight to DVD talent and charisma unlike his cousin Chris.

This goal would ultimately that ties into the actual Dakar Rally race that takes place in Saudi Arabia.

JF loves employees who go to Saudi Arabia and even wants to win the Dakar way more than Formula 1
