All the GE facilities that are onionized are run basically the same. I say this because I worked at multiple facilities before I retired. GE loves to divide and conquer at the onset of the hiring process. This is done by the hiring of "yes" people in the same families or line of friends. Remember you don't even get an interview unless you are connected in some form to GE. If it is a skilled or educated position they might actually have no choice but to hire blindly but in the interviewing process they subtly can find out many things like political affiliation etc. So now you may ask how do we end up getting the onion officials we have? They continue the hiring process by referrals of these same people in order to get the needed corrupted onion representation GE wants. When by chance a good onion person slides into a onion position the onion members tends to slander the individual and turn the other membership against him or her to eliminate the threat. Many things can be done to gradually eliminate the position all the onions in the GE system are in. Decades of abuse will not go away overnight but always remember cowardice is not permanent. @1ygf+1mg2df6m The plan was to get the books as right sized as they can for power. So they can spin it off by saying they improved the numbers year over year. The only way to do that was to rob the American union workers. Every contract since the the American union workers in Schenectady got the shaft. 2 years left for the big nail in Schenectadys campus. Don’t think for a second our jobs are secured for us here this has been the 10-15 year plan. Cameras and attendance policy well they wouldn’t need attendance policy if people enjoyed coming to work now would they? Cameras so they can have 1 Opps leader sit in a control room and watch the union slugs work and write up people for nothing.

*3 year plan!!! If they wanted to keep people happy and feel secure at their jobs. The company and union would not be coming back with this garbage contract for us in Schenectady. They are going to close it and I’m not talking about the play scale either.

Company says a 2 year extension? Union said sure thing! Cameras for money to be divided? Union said sure thing! No closing the gap for T’s take it from the D’s. Union fights but ends up with sure thing!

Now Look at everything the company got.
*split pay scale gap grew bigger
*The headquarters is being moved to Ma soon.
*There will be a layoff at the end of the extension.
*There is no closing the Gap for T’s so stop complaining.

we will be all watched on camera very soon!
our attendance will be strict because they want to fire and hire to keep wages low! If they get 10% to turn over year after year for 2 years that 10% is at the lowest rate in progression.
**the union got a cheesy raise and extension so you tell me where the companys future goal is here in Schenectady. It’s not thinking of a future! They think we make the parts here is easy. It’s a skill but they don’t look at it like that. They look at it like we are disposable peons.

I see that here in Schenectady it is a sunken ship that is going to be more lost at sea with in 2 years. The union keeps giving them everything they want because if they do not the company will close shop in Schenectady. Schenectady voted no! Schenectady is really going to be on the chopping block now! The writing is on the wall Verona is going to clean house in 2 years! The company never gives Schenectady Anything back just keeps squeezing the life out of the American Union Worker. Why is that? Because they are closing shop soon!

I am a younger union member and always felt something was preventing me from achieving my goal to represent. This explains it all.
