In our podcast series: 'how to master layoff.com' we take you on a step-by-step tour of the many ways to avoid postal deletion. This follows our highlly successful 'DXC is doing all the right things'! which was ironically deleted for gross hyperbole.
HOW TO MASTER LAYOFF.COM
In podcast one: 'Are they total baskets?' we show how to construct posts that avoid being deleted.
For example, if we take a recent post from layoff.com's thread (beneath this one) entitled: "Techmarketview.com...'
We noted that someone had posted this thought provoking comment:
"Different Mike, same ole sh1te!"
Lets just examine this for a minute.
Obviously the poster has used numbers here to ensure that the final noun survives the 'rude_words' validation check. And, they have also added an exclamation mark to really bring out the smell of that word.
But what else do you notice about the sentece? Anything?
Notice how the the derogatory noun 'Sh1te' is being used to decribe the effect of the actions of the person rather than it being used as an adjective to describe the actual person themselves?
And that's the subtle twist.
Of course, if we replace the comma in the sentence with the words: "but still a", then it would dramatically change its whole meaning and likely lead to immediate deletion.
TOP TIP#1 - Don't post derogatory comments aimed at people; only their actions.
Join us in podcast #2 where we will be reviewing the lastest 'layoff.com' spelling and grammar widgets and asking if they will hip rejuice the number of misspilt worms.
