Thoughts on Waters merge with BD Life Sciences

It is official now Waters merging BD LS (diagnostics + biosciences). Is this a good thing for BD Life Sciences employees? Now we will have less money than when we were part of Medtech BD

@3pj you are wrong and a simple google search would solve that - give it a try and leave your racist bs elsewhere

@3mf Hello Mr/Ms DEI, do you now understand the problem with DEI leadership? They sunk the ship, now a lot of good people will be impacted.

I was at BD for a real short time and it was so bad I had to quit without a job lol. Unfortunate to see that they still have the same issues. Get out while you can.

@5pf

Hello DEI, if you were qualified, you didn’t need to use “Race” as quality. Seems your low IQ is impacting your language comprehension.
😝😄😂. Don’t blame deserving people for that. Every job requires some unique skills, and people with those skills should get that job.

@3pj you could not be more wrong - it exists to protect qualified workers from being discriminated against by people like you

DEI: When you cannot qualify for something in fair way or cannot compete with others, and you use your race/ gender to qualify for a position. In other words, getting something you never deserved using some effing policy created to get votes.

It looks like you are one of those DEIs. :D

Want to understand the problem with DEI? Just listen to our CIO, and then listen to the CIO of a similar-sized company. She’s a prime example of how DEI can undermine an entire IT organization. Inevitably, you might wonder why the whole company is struggling. Once again, the answer lies in the leadership that selected her for such a critical role—their judgment is clearly lacking.

@10p check your severance policy - it was updated a couple of years back to only be 2 weeks per year for grade 3 and under. All others max out at 1 year. Check your HR website - though you'll have to dig, they like to bury these things

@1ap what is your problem with DEI other than you obviously don't understand what it is and why its needed. I wish you would just shut the eff up about DEI - ignorant

Waters will be in troubled water for this decision, BD is among one of the most unprofessionally managed companies. If they retain any of the so called BD leadership they will be in trouble.

I am ex-BD. Someone from current BD came for an interview, he was qualified on paper but we saw all cultural red flags. I was sympathetic to him knowing how BD ruins good folks , but then our director didn’t want to take any chance.

Moral of the story, if you stay with BD for more than 5 years, that hurt your chances of getting another job.

@qy

No DEI understands or accepts that he/she is their because of DEI reservation or affirmative action.

For anyone with a decent amount of time with the company, if you can hold out for severance, do. Two weeks for every year with the company.

Id--ts in BD thought this will increase their stock value and they will declare victory. But, market is way more intelligent than BD’s incompetent leadership. Do you know 90% of BD leadership is poor in basic math? They don’t understand numbers actually 😝

Now, WAT lost 18% because of this foolish deal.

@ax which one? BD or Waters? Or both? Heard many folks have already been told they will be moving to new company (Waters) when the sale is final. The SA building is not being renewed as JLL has it on their website that is available as of 4.1.26. Wonder what's happening to everyone else in that area that isn't moving with BDB

I‘ve been out for a while now and just read Tom‘s announcement on LI. Wow, that reads like a decision based on desperation. That is how you tell the world you’re in deep trouble. It looks like Comms was laid off too early.
