Thread regarding EnCana Corp. layoffs

All those ex pan can employees

It's all those ex pan cans still in the office that protect one another and us regular Joe get let go. When times were good you would think that the big boss up stairs would of seen this crap that went on.

@qnh you seem to forget that OBrien from pancanadian was the board chair and forced the split into Cenovus and gassy Encana. He called it creative destruction. That was the beginning of the downfall of the company...no diversification. Then Eresman and the board were he-l bent on doubling production in five years, debt increases and balance sheet strength be damned. That failed miserably and we ended up with the worst CEO in history in Suttles.

PanCanadian was significantly better technically than AEC.

Yet AEC people were appointed to the highest positions. This was the start of the downfall of EnCana. Right from the beginning , continuously poor management, decisions etc. started the spiral trend downward.

All EnCana Presidents, Board of Directors, Vice Presidents and Senior management are responsible for this. This continues today.

Today, EnCana is fast becoming a very small and almost insignificant company.

PanCanadian was a great company with enormous assets, great talent, direction and potential. Subsequent EnCana management has destroyed everything PanCanadian had worked for and also devasted what was left at EnCana.

When AEC and PanCanadian merged, 80% of management and almost all the top positions went to AEC. This AEC management has almost completely destroyed the company. Don't blame the few remaining PanCanadian personal that are left, most either left, went to Cenovus, or were sold years ago.
