Anyone else’s regular team meetings get canceled the week that layoffs happen in the company??

Yes. Our town hall was just moved to next Wed which makes me wonder if the RIF is really happening on the 17th.
team meetings are a waste of time in my area we rarely have them since time better spent being productive. most announcements are handled via an email like they should be. In previous groups there was a periodic team meeting that was cancelled 100% of the time. i wouldnt read much into it manager must have actual work to do
I mean my team has mini meetings twice a week and a longer meeting once a month, roughly 35% of the mini meetings are cancelled per quarter but usually that's because my supervisor has to log off for a few hours.
